Is it Really Worth it? LEGO DC vs Marvel Collection Bundle
Best rated bundle last week was LEGO DC vs Marvel Collection Bundle from Green Man Gaming, with an impressive 8.1 / 10 for the cheapest $1 tier and 6.7 / 10 for the highest $8 tier.
This bundle might hold the record for the number of times its games have been rebundled but weirdly enough, all of the games were new to me.
I'll approach the review a little differently this time. Since all the games are very similar, I'm finding it difficult to separate my thoughts on each one. Instead, I'll give you a brief overview of every game and share my overall impressions in the conclusion.

Verdict
All of the games have very similar gameplay: basic combat, destroying everything on the screen then rebuilding it into a thing required to progress the level, lots of characters with different abilities requiring you to switch between characters.
All games have questionable controls, with one button used for multiple actions, plus different action on button hold. Also, I didn't have luck getting it to work with my PS5 controller, but all games worked great with my dusty Xbox 360 controller. Even though these games are easy, I got stuck quite a lot due to issues with control prompts and mechanics not explained properly.
The number of different characters is impressive, but the highlight for me was actually creating your custom character in Villains. You can tweak looks, special effects and the abilities. I noticed that I enjoyed the newer entries more. Even though the newest one is still eight years old, the gameplay feels more polished and varied.
The only 2 I'll keep playing are Super Heroes 2 - I like Guardians of the Galaxy characters and the soundtrack, and Super-Villains - standing out thanks to the custom character creation. Those 2 are valued around $9.50 making the $8 bundle worth it but not by much so my score will have to be much lower that the formula score.
My Score: 6.1 / 10
